ICC-SWCC ACCREDITATION

The Small Wind Certification Council (ICC-SWCC) is accredited as a third-party certification body to ISO/IEC 17065 by the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to certify small wind turbines (< 150 kW peak power) to AWEA Standard 9.1-2009 and ACP 101-1-2021 and to certify power and acoustic performance for medium wind turbines (150 – 300 kW peak power) in accordance with IEC 61400-12-1 (Power), IEC 61400-11 (Acoustics), and IEC 61400-1 (Design).

Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17065 ensures the universal recognition of ICC-SWCC turbine certifications worldwide, while ensuring that certification activities are conducted impartially, systematically and in a uniform manner. Accreditation ensures that the resulting product certifications are consistent with international standards and based on objective testing and evaluation.
